Whom or What Phenomenon Were the Epaulette-Wearing Individuals Criticizing?
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" writes: "Exactly one year ago, on this very day, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces made a statement expressing its 'determined protest' regarding the dismissal of the Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces, for short-sighted and unfounded reasons."
At that time, let us recall, the aforementioned position was held by Tigran Khachatryan. Several dozen military personnel demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stating: 'The Prime Minister of the Republic and the government are no longer capable of making adequate decisions for the Armenian people in this crisis and fateful situation. The Armed Forces of the Republic have patiently endured the 'attacks' directed at discrediting them by the current authorities for a long time, but everything has its limits.' It remains unclear what kind of patience the military personnel had in mind, many of whom are still serving in the Armenian Armed Forces. Whom or what phenomenon were these epaulette-wearing individuals criticizing, if they are still tolerating a person whom they claimed one year ago was leading the country to the brink of destruction due to 'ineffective governance and serious mistakes in foreign policy'? It is a fact that Nikol Pashinyan is still dismissing the Chief of the General Staff from his position today, making new appointments that appear pleasing to him, yet the military officers seem strangely reconciled to these incomprehensible appointments."
