Putin Responds to Zelensky
Russia is ready to send its delegation to Minsk for negotiations with Ukraine, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has informed reporters. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The Kremlin spokesman reminded that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has stated that he is ready to discuss the country’s neutral status.
“Initially, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the aim of the operation is to assist Luhansk and Donetsk, including through the demilitarization of Ukraine, and this is essentially an inseparable component of the neutral status,” Peskov said.
According to him, the delegation will consist of representatives from the ministries of defense and foreign affairs, as well as the presidential administration.
“Today, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who assured that he would be ready to create all necessary conditions for the arrival of delegations, ensuring their safety and integrity, and conducting the stated negotiations,” the spokesman added.
