We Must Be Prepared to Defend Syunik at All Costs: Daniel Ioannissian

Daniel Ioannissian, the coordinator of the Initiative for Civic Monitoring and a member of the Public Council, stated on his Facebook page: "Everything is very bad, we must be prepared to defend Syunik at all costs! The world is not what it was yesterday. Solving problems through force is becoming more 'normal' from today onwards. At the same time, it is clear that Moscow will no longer shy away from any means to recreate Soviet 2.0.

It is likely that very soon, Azerbaijan will be given the green light to act against us, leading to a situation where we might find ourselves at the feet of the Kremlin, begging to be accepted into a Union State (i.e., within the framework of the Russian Federation). Furthermore, it is highly probable that Azerbaijan will take advantage of the situation and launch an attack as soon as our attention is diverted elsewhere in the world.

Moreover, the Russians will later have a good excuse for not defending us, saying they were 'busy during those days.' The only thing we can do is prepare for the physical defense of Syunik. The more prepared and strong we are, the lower the likelihood of this scenario occurring."
