White House Calls Recent Events in Ukraine the ‘Beginning of Russian Aggression’

The White House considers the recent events in Ukraine as the ‘beginning of Russian aggression.’ This was announced on Tuesday, February 22, by White House spokesman Jonathan Finer.

“We do believe this is the beginning of an invasion, a new Russian incursion into Ukraine,” said the Deputy National Security Advisor during an interview on CNN, commenting on the situation.

Jonathan Finer emphasized that the United States intends to respond robustly to Russia's recent actions, which recognized the sovereignty of the Donbas republics and signed treaties of friendship and cooperation with those republics. At the same time, Finer stated that the U.S. response would be swift and decisive.
