When the Berdzor Bypass Road Will Be Ready
The bypass road being constructed around the city of Berdzor will be put into operation by July of this year. This information was shared during a press conference by Saleh Mamedov, the head of the State Agency for Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan.
“This 28 km long road will connect six villages in the Lachin region (known as Kashatagh). A 17 km section and a bridge over the Hakari River have already been constructed. The road is set to be put into operation by July of this year,” Mamedov stated.
It is important to note that according to the trilateral statement of November 9, a program for constructing a new route to ensure connectivity between Artsakh and Armenia through the Lachin corridor should be determined within three years of its adoption, followed by the redeployment of Russian peacekeeping forces for the maintenance of that route.
