Pensioners Over 75 Can Choose to Receive Pension in Cash or Cashless
As of January 1, 2022, pensions in all cities of Armenia are paid exclusively through cashless methods—either via banks or the national operator ('HayPost'), the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reminds.
Pensioners over the age of 75 and individuals with 1st or 2nd group disabilities can receive their pensions according to their choice—either in cash or cashless. Meanwhile, minors aged 14 and older who are pensioners or those receiving pensions on behalf of others can only receive their pensions in cash.
Thus, pensioners over 75 have the option to choose how they receive their pensions, either in cash or through cashless means. If the pension is paid in cash at the recipient's place of residence, the service is provided free of charge.
