Crimea Does Not Need Recognition and Favor from Washington
The head of the Public Diplomacy and Interethnic Relations Committee of the Crimean Parliament, Yuri Hempel, stated that the peninsula does not need recognition and favor from Washington.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the U.S. does not consider the possibility of Crimea's entry into Russia or the recognition of the independence of Donbas in order to prevent a "great war."
"Crimea is a legitimate and inseparable part of the Russian Federation, and the people of Crimea do not need recognition and favor from Americans," Hempel told RIA Novosti.
Regarding Donbas, he emphasized that he has been to Donetsk and Luhansk many times. "The people of the people’s republics defend their land and their children, while the failure of the authorities in Kyiv to comply with the Minsk agreements threatens the very existence of Ukraine. Every day louder voices are being raised in Europe regarding aggressive policies," Hempel highlighted.
