Rare but Dangerous Consequences of COVID-19
Patients recovering from COVID-19 may experience increased blood pressure. This was stated by Nikolai Kryuchkov, a candidate of medical sciences in immunology, as reported by "RIA Novosti."
“Damage to the blood vessels, heart, and brain at any level can manifest as increased blood pressure,” explained the doctor. He noted that, unlike headaches, this symptom is much less common and can be classified as a post-COVID sign after excluding other factors such as diabetes.
“We need to see if there is a blood clotting disorder. It is necessary to exclude other emotional and physical stressors, as well as previous illnesses,” Kryuchkov summarized.
