Russia to Build Space Debris Recycling Facility
The Russian Orbital Service Station (ROSS) plans to establish a facility for the processing of space debris and decommissioned satellites, said Alexander Bloshenko, executive director of the advanced programs and science state corporation, to TASS.
“It’s a very interesting direction for the orbital station to attempt to create a workshop for processing space debris and defunct satellites,” Bloshenko noted.
According to him, a recycling facility for space debris is feasible. “However, it’s necessary to have laboratory results on debris and technological supplements in space,” Bloshenko added.
