Road Conditions in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the Republic of Armenia.

The roads from the "Ambert" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and the Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Mountain Pass is difficult for trucks with trailers (chains are required).

In Vayots Dzor Province, there is black ice present in sections of the Saravan-Saralanj road, and in Syunik Province, on the Sisian-Zanger road.

Regarding Lars, based on information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Emergency Situations Department of the Russian Federation's North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepanandza-Lars road is open for all vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
