Children's Eurovision is a Great Opportunity to Restore Tourist Flows, Says Pashinyan
This year, we have a pan-European event at the Sports and Concert Complex. It is about the "Children's Eurovision." Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this during a government session today, February 17, adding that funds have been allocated to the Sports and Concert Complex for preparations.
He noted that these events are a great opportunity for our tourism sector companies to activate and restore tourist flows in the post-COVID period.
Economy Minister Vahan Kerobian also mentioned that there are two other major events in Armenia. "One is the annual conference of the UN World Tourism Organization, which is set to take place in Armenia from June 1-3. We will try to hold that event in the Sevan Fortress in Gyumri, thus decentralizing a bit. Also, in September, the ‘Strasmus’ astronomical conference will take place, featuring six Nobel laureates. Additionally, efforts are underway to bring Armenian Nobel laureate Artem Patapiutian to Armenia in the second half of June. All of these will not only inject significant activity into our economic life but also promote tourism," he said.
