Putin - Zelensky - Erdogan Trilateral Meeting: What Does Erdogan Expect?
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed his desire to hold telephone talks with Russia's President Vladimir Putin to gauge his stance on the idea of a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey. This was shared by the Turkish president with reporters while returning from the UAE, during a flight, a statement later quoted by CNN Turk.
“Mr. Zelensky has shown a positive attitude towards the idea of a trilateral Putin-Zelensky-Erdogan meeting during our discussions. If Mr. Putin is also positive about this idea, we could meet in Istanbul or Ankara. Right now, I want to know from Mr. Putin how he views this through the means of telephone diplomacy,” Erdogan's statements were quoted by the television.
