US Armenian Advocacy Group Condemns Morgan Freeman

The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has officially condemned world-renowned actor Morgan Freeman for participating in a commercial for Turkish Airlines. According to ermenihaber.am, Freeman and the Turkish airline reached an agreement to release a joint video.

In a post on Twitter, Freeman wrote: "Working with Turkish Airlines was wonderful. No airline connects more countries than Turkish Airlines." The ANCA shared Freeman's video while reminding that another American actor, George Clooney, had previously rejected a $35 million offer from the Turkish airline.

"Turkish Airlines transports its mercenaries to conflict zones around the world, where they fight in Erdoğan's proxy wars, adding fuel to the fire and symbolizing the unimaginable suffering and death of innocent civilians," said the ANCA in their statement.

It is worth recalling that George Clooney canceled a one-day deal worth $35 million with Turkish Airlines. In an interview with a prominent American publication, Clooney mentioned that after receiving the offer, he consulted with his wife, Amal Clooney, and they decided to decline it, citing Turkey as a questionable country, despite being a U.S. ally.
