Azerbaijan's Prosecutor's Office Announces Plans to Arrest Araik Harutyunyan
The Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan has issued a wanted notice for Araik Harutyunyan, the President of the Republic of Artsakh. According to Azerbaijani media, this was announced by Nemat Avazov, head of the investigative department of the country’s Prosecutor General's Office.
The same source reports that a criminal case has been initiated against him for “betraying the homeland.” The enemy state has labeled the actions of the Artsakh president in resisting the aggression carried out by the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem as treason.
“Araik Harutyunyan, who presents himself as the leader of the so-called ‘Nagorno-Karabakh,’ will be held accountable by the operational and intelligence agencies. He is accused of four terrorist acts against civilians in Ganja in 2020, which resulted in the deaths of 26 and injuries to 175 civilians,” said Nemat Avazov at a press conference today.
