Video: Over 80 Protesters Arrested by Paris Police

Paris police have arrested more than 80 participants in the "Column of Freedom" protest against vaccination passports. This was reported on Sunday by BFM TV, citing the prosecutor's office, according to TASS.

“According to police data, as of 6:00 AM Paris time, 81 participants in the demonstration have been arrested,” stated the prosecutor’s office, adding that a total of 97 protesters were detained on Saturday. The police issued 513 fines that day for public order violations.

Overall, around 32,000 people participated in the protests, including over 7,500 citizens on the streets of Paris. The protesters demanded the cancellation of vaccination passports, which are mandatory for entering cafes, museums, and for long-distance travel in France. According to BFM, a convoy is currently heading toward Brussels.
