Legendary Actor Leonid Kuravlyov Passes Away at 86

Leonid Vyacheslavovich Kuravlyov, the renowned People's Artist of the RSFSR, has died in Moscow at the age of 86. The legendary artist spent his final days in one of Moscow's guesthouses, where he was relocated under medical advice after undergoing treatment for a coronavirus infection.

The date and time for the farewell ceremony and burial have yet to be announced. It is worth noting that Kuravlyov was diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier this January. Thanks to the efforts of doctors, he managed to overcome viral pneumonia, but he remained among those in need of assistance due to an incurable illness.

The actor's relatives made the decision to move him to a nursing home, where he could receive appropriate care. According to his son and daughter, in recent years, Leonid Kuravlyov rarely went outside, had little contact with others, and grieved deeply for his wife, Nina, who passed away in 2012 after more than 50 years of marriage.
