Armenian Embassy in Russia Issues Statement on Screening of 'Garegin Nzhdeh' Film

The Armenian Embassy in Russia has issued a statement regarding attempts to "artificially stir up tensions" surrounding the screening of the feature film "Garegin Nzhdeh."

It stated that the Embassy is in contact with both the Union of Armenians of Russia and other Armenian organizations operating within the Russian Federation, as well as Russian authorities.

The Embassy is closely monitoring press publications and expresses deep concern over attempts by certain parties interested in defaming Armenian-Russian fraternal relations by tarnishing the memory of Garegin Nzhdeh, a fighter for Armenia’s independence.

The statement emphasizes, "We consider the manipulations around this topic unacceptable and urge everyone to refrain from disseminating false and misleading information."

It should be noted that there were reports that, on January 28, an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia was disrupted in Moscow due to Azerbaijani lobbying efforts, which included the screening of the film about Garegin Nzhdeh.
