Driver Offered Money to Patrol Officer to Avoid DUI Charges
Materials related to bribery have been forwarded to the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia from the investigative department of the Nor-Nork police station.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a commander of the first battalion of the 4th company of the Patrol Service of the Armenian police submitted a report stating that around 03:50 on that day, a resident of Yerevan, 41-year-old Grigor M., offered money to a patrol officer in the administrative area of Nor-Nork on Moldovan Street.
According to G. Shamshyan, Grigor M., who was driving a Porsche Cayenne, was subjected to a sobriety test, which revealed that he was intoxicated. Following this, the patrol officer stated that he was offered money. Subsequently, the driver of the Porsche Cayenne was taken to the Nor-Nork police station and later released.
