US Troops Will Not Assist in Evacuation of Americans from Ukraine, Biden

US President Joe Biden has stated that all Americans should leave Ukraine immediately due to fears of a Russian invasion. He also emphasized that he will not send military personnel to assist in the evacuation.

It is noted that the Pentagon announced a day earlier that military personnel could be involved in the extraction of US citizens from Ukraine.

In an interview with NBC, Joe Biden said, "US citizens must leave Ukraine immediately."

"This is not about a terrorist organization. We are dealing with one of the largest armies in the world (referring to the Russian army - Kommersant). This is a completely different situation, and everything can go wrong very quickly," the US President is convinced.

When asked if there was a possibility that US troops would be used to evacuate Americans, Joe Biden responded negatively: "If Americans and Russians start shooting at each other, it will be a world war."

The United States President stated, "If Vladimir Putin is foolish enough to start an invasion, then he will be smart enough not to do anything that could adversely affect American citizens."

When asked whether Mr. Biden had conveyed this message to President Putin, he answered affirmatively: "I didn't have to tell him that; I've already spoken on this matter. He knows everything."

He did not specify exactly when this issue was discussed with Mr. Putin.
