How Many Citizens of Turkey Have Acquired Real Estate in Armenia: Factor

In the Republic of Armenia, 61 citizens of Turkey have acquired ownership of 83 real estate properties. This was reported by the Cadastre Committee in response to a written inquiry from Factor.am.

“Turkish citizens have purchased more than 80 real estate properties in Armenia during various administrations, including those of Robert Kocharian, Serzh Sargsyan, and Nikol Pashinyan. The Cadastre Committee provided Factor.am with information on how many properties Turkish citizens purchased in Armenia each year. Between 2005 and 2007, during Robert Kocharian's presidency, 8 properties were purchased; during Serzh Sargsyan's presidency from 2009 to 2017, 35 properties were acquired; and under Nikol Pashinyan's administration, from 2019 to 2021, 28 properties were purchased. Additionally, 7 properties were purchased in 2018. That year marked a change of government in Armenia, and the Cadastre Committee did not specify the months, making it impossible to determine under which administration the purchases occurred.
