Chen did it, but I did it for myself too: Armenian coach on Olympic champion
Nathan Chen's coach Rafael Harutyunyan has commented on the figure skater's victory at the Beijing Olympic Games. "If we hadn’t taken first place, I would have been disappointed. The second and third places wouldn’t have satisfied us. But now I am happy, I feel strong emotions. I feel like I have done it. Chen did it, but I did it for myself too. We worked hard, and I can be honest: Chen likes it when people are honest with him," Harutyunyan told TASS.
It is worth mentioning that the American athlete Nathan Chen won the title of men's singles champion at the Beijing Olympic Games. He scored 218.63 points for the free program, accumulating a total of 332.60 points. Earlier, in the short program, Chen set a world record and was recognized as the best.
22-year-old Nathan Chen, known as the "King of Quadruples," performed the men's short program during the team event in Beijing under the piece "La Bohème" by French-Armenian chansonnier Charles Aznavour. His coach is Rafael Harutyunyan.
