Blizzard in Ashotsk: Current Road Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn province to the Amberd fortress and K’ari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats pass is impassable for all types of vehicles, while the road leading to the town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor and the section known as Saravan-"Zanger" is difficult for truck trailers to navigate.

On the roads from Lanjik to Maralik, Gyumri to K’eti, Mastara to Lanjik, Gyumri to Bvra, Gyumri to Marmarashen, and several roads in the Syunik region, there is some black ice present.

Snowfall is occurring in the areas known as "Meghrukh" and Saravan-"Zanger", as well as in the cities of Goris and Sisian in Syunik Province.

A blizzard is taking place in the Ashotsk region of Shirak Province.

Regarding the Larsi situation, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
