Video: I hope the Belarusian side will refrain from giving any evaluations about Armenia – Grigoryan

The Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, avoided answering the question of whether Lukashenko should apologize. In a conversation with journalists, Grigoryan addressed the statements made by Belarusian President Lukashenko, noting that Armenia has responded, as have members of the National Assembly, the Foreign Ministry, and the ambassador has been summoned.

“I believe there has been a comprehensive response, and I hope that the Belarusian side will refrain from giving any evaluations regarding Armenia in the future, because these evaluations do not reflect the relations that exist between Armenia and Belarus, especially the close relations between the Belarusian and Armenian peoples,” Grigoryan emphasized.

In response to the observation that this is the second incident in which Lukashenko speaks about Armenia and its authorities using undiplomatic language, even offensive expressions, Grigoryan stated, “We continue to respond diplomatically and hope that there will be no such incidents again. If there are additional incidents, we will think about how to respond.”

When asked whether there will be a demand for the Belarusian president to apologize, Grigoryan replied that statements have been made, the ambassador has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and appropriate measures have been taken.

It is noteworthy that in an interview with Vladimir Solovyov, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko claimed, “Armenia has nowhere to go. Do you think they need someone? They have already seen it, Nikol Vovaevich has seen it.”
