Lavrov described the negotiations with the UK Foreign Secretary as 'cabbage talk among the deaf'. The Russian minister joked that the 'unprepared ground' for dialogue between London and Moscow regarding Ukraine is as frozen as the Western media's belief that Russian tanks should advance towards Kyiv.

'I feel that our British colleagues today had the same basis that has been undermined by numerous facts that we cited today. I sensed that our partners are either unfamiliar with these detailed explanations or have completely ignored them,' Lavrov stated.
