Ezdian Patience has Run Out, We Demand Autonomy - Khdr Hajoyan

Ezdian patience has run out; we demand autonomy in our historical homeland. This was stated by Khdr Hajoyan, the president of the Ezdian National Union, during an interview on 24TV's 'Interview' program.

It is noteworthy that this concerns the northern region of Iraq. Hajoyan asserted that 'E drians have no eyes on others' lands; what they need is autonomy or a security zone to address safety issues in their historical homeland, considering the simple reality that over the past two decades, E drians have been subjected to genocide at least twice.'

Additionally, Hajoyan mentioned that E drians also demand recognition of their identity, as they are regarded as a religious community in Iraq, but it is necessary to emphasize the ethnic component as well. He further added that in Turkey, E drians are viewed as Turks, while in Iraq, they are seen as Arabs.

Speaking about Turkey's regionally destructive activities, Hajoyan noted that Ankara is carrying out terrorist operations in the Shingal area, pursuing the Kurdish Workers' Party.
