Emergency Incident at Zvartnots Airport: 29-Year-Old Demands Flight to Russia Under Knife Threat
On February 9, an emergency incident occurred at Zvartnots International Airport. Around 5:00 PM, a senior sergeant of the police service stationed at the airport noticed suspicious activity near one of the ticket counters operated by an airline on the fourth floor.
According to Shamshyan.com, the senior sergeant approached the scene and observed a man threatening an employee of the ticket selling company with a knife, demanding that they ensure a flight for him and give him a ticket to travel to the Russian Federation.
The police apprehended the individual, identified as 29-year-old Andranik M. from the Lori Province, and took him to the airport's police division. Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated.
The suspect, Andranik M., has been arrested based on the investigator's decision.
