Attack on Artsakh Bank on Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan: Attacker Neutralized
A serious incident occurred in Yerevan earlier today. Around 6:30 PM, the Arabkir Division of the Police received a report that an attack had taken place on the Artsakh Bank located at 53 Baghramyan Avenue.
According to information from the scene reported by Shamshyan.com, a citizen broke the glass doors of the bank, entered, and demanded something from the bank's employees. However, he was unable to carry out any further actions because patrol officers Rafik Petrosyan and Karen Sardarayan from the second battalion of the Yerevan police managed to enter the bank and neutralize the individual.
Following this, he was taken into custody with the help of the security staff of the Arabkir Division of the Police. While Senior Investigator Levon Torosyan from the investigative department of the Arabkir Division was examining the scene, the patrol officers discovered a Mercedes C240 belonging to the suspect parked on Baghramyan Avenue. The suspect drove this car to the avenue, parked it, and entered the bank.
The police are currently investigating the motives that led the individual to commit such an act.
