Major Fire in Yerevan: Family Appeals to the Mayor

Today, February 9, a major fire occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 08:15, the 9-11 crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report that smoke was visible from the roof of house number 28 on the 2nd alley of 11th street in Nerqin Shengavit, raising suspicions that a fire had broken out in the house.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, two fire-fighting units from the 4th Fire and Rescue Department of Yerevan quickly arrived at the scene. The firefighters first prevented the spread of the flames and then extinguished the fire.

Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there are no reported injuries. It has been established that the fire broke out in the house owned by Aram Ghazaryan. Now, family members, consisting of a father and daughter, are appealing to the Mayor of Yerevan and the head of the Shengavit administrative district, requesting assistance, as they are unable to manage the repairs to their home caused by the fire on their own.
