The Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's refusal to recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia is the merit of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. “I have had four secret meetings with Lukashenko in London. It was secret diplomacy. The fact that South Ossetia and Abkhazia have not yet been recognized by Lukashenko is the result of my visits to London,” he stated.
