France to Provide Ukraine a €200 Million Loan

Paris will provide Kyiv with a €200 million loan for development programs, as well as €1 billion in financial guarantees, under which Ukraine will be able to obtain loans from French banks. This was announced on Tuesday, February 8, by the press service of the Ukrainian President's Office, as reported by kp.ru.

“The Ministry of Economy and Finance of France will provide the Ukrainian government with a €200 million loan, as well as €1 billion in financial guarantees,” the presidential statement said, noting that the raised funds can be spent on specific programs that have been previously agreed upon with Paris.

It is mentioned that the allocation of these funds involves the engagement of French suppliers and contractors in their implementation. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Paris would provide Kyiv with €1.2 billion in macro-financial assistance to stabilize the economy.
