Taxpayers Are Not Giving Us Money to Post ‘Stories’ During Work Hours: Mayor Addresses Employees
We need to conduct functional analyses regarding departments, divisions, various closed joint-stock companies, and others, to see what the employees of those departments are doing—arriving at 9 AM and leaving at 6 PM. What are they doing? Sitting in front of a computer, what work are they doing? This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sarukyan during a session of the city council.
“They drink coffee, gossip, move from this room to that room saying, ‘This one said that, that one said this.’ In other words, the people who have the time to gossip are working at the city hall, which is not normal. I will not tolerate this. Yesterday, we held an operational meeting, and during work hours, people are posting ‘stories’. Taxpayers are not giving us money to post ‘stories’ during work hours. We need to either post these ‘stories’ after 6 PM or during the break around 1-2 PM,” he stated.
He announced that global changes will take place, and a package will be presented within a month.
