Armenia's Foreign Ministry's Tough Response to Alexander Lukashenko
Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that the geopolitical analyses provided by the President of Belarus serve primarily to support his own domestic political agenda and bear no relevance to Armenia and its foreign policy. This was stated by the press secretary Vahan Hunanyan in response to media inquiries.
Recall that yesterday, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed in an interview with Vladimir Solovyov that other republics from the post-Soviet space could join the Union State of Belarus and Russia, with a high probability that Armenia would also be included, because 'no one needs them.'
'Well, Armenia has nowhere to go. Do you think anyone needs them? They have seen that. Nikol Vovaevich saw that. Azerbaijan is somewhat breaking away from that group because we have also made many mistakes. That is a separate topic. Of course, Turkey is providing very serious support to Azerbaijan. Gas and oil are passing through Turkey. Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, I believe, will also join, first and foremost due to economic necessity,' said Lukashenko.
He also mentioned that Kazakhstan would join, which 'had a good lesson,' and if 'we do not make mistakes,' Ukraine would also be aware of it within a period of 15 years.
