Major Car Accident in Aragatsotn Region: Doctors Fight for the Lives of the Injured

On February 7, a major car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. Around 10:00 PM, a collision took place in the administrative area of the village of Ayntap on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway between a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 39-year-old Aram M. and a VAZ 21099 driven by 32-year-old Hrayr S.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, Hrayr S. and his passenger, 33-year-old Sos B., a resident of Gegharkunik Province, were taken to the Erebuni Medical Center with bodily injuries. The injured were extracted from the vehicle by the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ number 25 fire and rescue squad, who arrived promptly using special equipment.

The on-duty group of doctors from Masis Hospital acted quickly, providing first aid to the injured on site before their transfer to the hospital. They are currently in extremely critical condition.

The photojournalist reports that as a result of the collision, the gas cylinder from the '99' was torn from the vehicle and thrown away.
