Roads That Are Closed and Difficult to Navigate: The Situation in the Republic

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the “Amberd” high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is passable for truck-couplers provided snow chains are used.

There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Syunik region.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the StepanSTMinda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
