Iran and Armenia Strengthen Relations Over the Past Year: Iranian Foreign Ministry Message

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has sent a congratulatory message to his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In the published message, Amir-Abdollahian reminded that Iran was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of the Republic of Armenia and to establish official diplomatic relations.

According to the Iranian minister, relations between Iran and Armenia have expanded and become more active in various fields over the past year, with a legal framework for cooperation strengthened by the signing of numerous documents.

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized Iran's determination to further strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation with the Republic of Armenia.
