Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his wishes for a full recovery from COVID-19 for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife, as reported by the Kremlin's press service.

“Dear Mr. President, dear friend, I want to sincerely support you and your wife. I am confident that your special energy and spirit resilience will help you overcome the virus in the shortest possible time,” said Putin, adding that he sincerely wishes Erdogan and his wife full recovery and many years of strong health.

Erdogan and his wife had previously contracted the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
