“The Ruler of Baku is Currently Waging a Large-Scale Hybrid War Against Us”: Vardan Oskanyan

Member of the "Homeland" Party and Iranologist Vardan Oskanyan stated:

"The Minister of Culture of the Baku regime has announced the creation of a 'working group' to allegedly erase Armenian inscriptions and traces from Albanian monuments. In this regard, it should be clearly noted again that the ruler of Baku is, at this very moment, openly waging a large-scale hybrid war against us.

Among the components of this war are the toponymic war, where even in official Azerbaijani media, the place names of the Republic of Armenia are distorted or changed to supposedly 'Azerbaijani' versions, and the cultural war, during which Armenian tangible and spiritual culture is barbarically destroyed or appropriated.

Moreover, almost all responsible officials of the Baku regime, starting from the ruler himself and extending to his ministers and the so-called intellectuals of science and culture, openly declare the existence of these two 'battlefields' and their intent to fight against us and annihilate us.

All of this is being done with a very clear purpose: to affirm the supposed historical and cultural 'legitimacy' of the barbaric rule of Baku over sacred Armenian land, which is supposed to serve as a basis for further expansionist ambitions."
