Closed and Impassable Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and impassable roads in Armenia.

Closed are the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain weather station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari.

The Vardenyats Pass (snow) is closed for trucks with trailers and impassable for other vehicles.

With the use of snow chains, the section known as Saravan-"Zanger" (snow) is impassable for trucks with trailers, but open for other vehicles.

The inter-community roads in the Aparan region of Aragatsotn Province are impassable.

There is black ice in some areas of the roads in Aragatsotn Province between Aparan and Aragats, and in Syunik Province.

Snow has fallen in the villages of Yeraskh and Tigranashen in Ararat Province, in Aragatsotn Province's Aragats region, in the town of Ashtarak, in the "Meghru Sar" area of Syunik Province, in Goris, and in Vayots Dzor Province's towns of Jermuk and Vayk, as well as in the towns of Sevan and Gavar in Gegharkunik Province.

There is fog on the Goris-Kapan road in Syunik Province, in the section known as Saravan-"Zanger", and in the town of Vayk in Vayots Dzor Province.
