Istanbul Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19 78 Times

An Istanbul resident has spent 14 months in quarantine due to 78 positive COVID-19 tests, reports A Haber television.

56-year-old Muzaffer Kayas, who suffers from leukemia, lives in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul. He contracted the coronavirus in November 2020. After receiving hospital treatment, he was discharged, but his test results have consistently shown positive outcomes.

He has been forced to live alone and is unable to meet with his grandchildren. Doctors attribute the persistent issue to his weakened immune system caused by leukemia.
