“His death is a great loss”: Nikol Pashinyan on the death of Arthur Grigoryan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a condolence telegram regarding the death of the National Artist of Armenia, composer Arthur Grigoryan. The telegram states:

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of National Artist of Armenia, composer Arthur Grigoryan. Mr. Grigoryan's contribution to the development of Armenian music is invaluable. He is the author of numerous works that are an essential part of our rich cultural heritage. Arthur Grigoryan had a fruitful career at the Armenian State Song Theater, nurturing many young performers in the pop music scene who have taken their rightful places in our music industry.

It is difficult to overestimate the role of Mr. Grigoryan in discovering talents through the awards he organized such as 'Yes', '777', 'Asup', 'Yntza', as well as his involvement in projects like 'Green Zone' and 'Voices of Artsakh'. Arthur Grigoryan's death is a great loss, but his influence and contribution to the development of Armenian pop music are irreplaceable.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to his family, relatives, colleagues, and fans, and share in their grief.”
