Today, 1,543 citizens infected with the coronavirus have been hospitalized, of which 16.6 percent are vaccinated. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the regular meeting of the government.

“This means that the significant impact of vaccination on the processes is evident,” he said.

Pashinyan noted that the wave of increasing numbers is yet to grow, and a certain rise in figures is anticipated.

Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan stated that there is a need for hospitalization in 4 percent of daily positive tests, and the system is operating in a tense mode. She mentioned that three months must pass after illness before vaccination can take place.

“In the republic, 46.3 percent of individuals over 18 have received their first vaccination, while 37 percent are fully vaccinated,” she said.

Pashinyan pointed out that the vaccination rate is very low and measures need to be taken to increase it. He noted that there is an increase among working citizens, and the third dose is also very important.
