VIDEO: Major Explosion Hits Oil Vessel Off Nigerian Coast

An explosion has occurred on the Trinity Spirit oil vessel owned by Shebah E&P near the coast of Nigeria. Daily Trust reports, citing the company.

"A tragic incident has taken place; after the explosion, a fire broke out on our vessel. Currently, there is no information about casualties, but we confirm that there were 10 people on board before the incident," the company's statement said.

Footage released by RIA Novosti shows how the ship is engulfed in flames.
