VIDEO: Strong Explosion Rocks Gas Station Opened Months Ago

Earlier today, we reported a major fire on Artsakh Avenue in Yerevan. According to reports, a strong explosion occurred at a gas station that had opened months ago. Local residents have evacuated their homes.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations previously stated that on February 2 at 11:43 AM, the Crisis Management National Center received a call reporting a vehicle fire near 8 Artsakh Street in Yerevan. Firefighting crews consisting of four operational units from the Yerevan Rescue Department responded to the scene with a complexity rating of '1 BIS.' The duty group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department and the operational group from the Crisis Management National Center also responded.

A complexity rating of '2' was declared for the fire, prompting the dispatch of an additional two firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department.
