Residents of Nerqin Charbakh Left Without Main Bus Route: What Solution Has the Municipality Found?

Auroranews.am has received reports from residents of Nerqin Charbakh. They state that since January 2022, they have essentially been left without a bus route. According to residents, the operation of the minibus route 67 has been terminated. In this segment of the Shengavit administrative district, there is another route serving bus number 14; however, residents note that it runs infrequently, and on Sundays, it does not operate at all.

Based on the concerns of Nerqin Charbakh residents, Auroranews.am contacted the media department of the Yerevan municipality. They reported that according to established regulations, minibus routes cannot operate if they have completed 15 years of service. The operation of route 67 was suspended due to this issue.

The municipality stated that they have developed an alternative solution to ensure the free movement of residents. Starting Monday, bus routes 54 and 14, equipped with new vehicles, will serve the residents. In the case of route 54, the route will be modified and extended to make it more convenient for residents who used route 67. The buses will also operate on Saturdays and Sundays.

As noted by the municipality's media department, every effort has been made to ensure that this alternative solution facilitates the free mobility of residents.
