Omicron Variant Also Presents With Symptoms of Poisoning
Symptoms of poisoning, such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite, may indicate an infection with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. This is reported by American doctors, according to WPMI-TV.
One of the co-authors of a new scientific paper from the U.S., Bill Admire, discussed several patients who described similar symptoms. Although such symptoms are typically associated with gastrointestinal disorders, such as poisoning, they have manifested during coronavirus infections among patients.
“In the case of Omicron, patients with gastrointestinal issues experience exacerbated conditions and more symptoms emerge,” the specialist stated. Experts recommend that individuals experiencing gastrointestinal problems wear protective masks, minimize contact with others, and consult a doctor.
