Hripsime Stambulyan to Sue My Steppe MP Hasmik Hakobyan

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Hripsime Stambulyan, a member of the "Hayastan" faction of the National Assembly and founder of the "Anriva" travel agency, has decided to sue ruling My Steppe faction MP Hasmik Hakobyan for her remarks made from the podium.

Hakobyan stated that, on the contrary, Stambulyan should not speak about flights from Yerevan to Istanbul, as she has, in her words, “earned money over the years by transporting our compatriots to Istanbul.” Stambulyan considers this statement defamatory, as she neither operated flights on the Yerevan-Istanbul route nor profited from them.

The lawmaker's attorney, Hovhannes Chamsaryan, stated that the lawsuit has already been submitted to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction. They demand the retraction of the defamatory information and compensation for damages to her business reputation in the amount of 6 million drams, which will later be directed towards charity.
