19-Year-Old Student Creates Bot to Track Elon Musk, Asks for $50,000 to Shut It Down
American Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has blocked 19-year-old student Jack Sweeney from Florida, who opened a Twitter account using an online bot to track the location of the billionaire's private jet. In response to Musk's request to stop the 'tracking', the student asked him for $50,000.
This was reported by 'RIA Novosti'. Sweeney stated, 'I'm a fan of SpaceX and Tesla, so I knew he had a jet. I thought the bot would help figure out where he (Musk) is going and what he is doing,' in an interview with Bloomberg.
According to the young man, Musk himself reached out to him last November and asked him to shut down the account for $5,000, expressing concerns for his safety. Sweeney countered with a request for $50,000, which he hoped to use for college or to purchase a Tesla Model 3.
Sweeney hopes that Musk will return to negotiations.
