VIDEO. Why Vahagn Khachaturyan's Biography Does Not Mention His Membership in the Opposition
The fault is mine. This was stated today, January 31, by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, during a conversation with journalists, addressing the question of why his biography on official websites does not mention that he was a member of the Opposition.
"After the 2017 elections, I ceased my party activities. Yes, I need to be non-partisan. There is a problem here that I will clarify. I have ceased that party activity within myself; it's just a matter of whether to formally apply or not, which is being clarified now. There’s nothing to edit in my biography; I have written various things in my biography in different places. The approach has been the following: there was a work record book in the USSR until May 1999, when my term as a member of parliament ended, and my employment activities concluded. After that, I have written in various ways in different places—collaborations with various NGOs, 'Armat,' 'Alternative,' and the Opposition," he said.
