Patrushev Calls Claims of Russia Threatening Ukraine 'Complete Nonsense'
Russia does not want war and is not threatening Ukraine; claims to the contrary from U.S. officials are complete nonsense. This was stated by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, to journalists, as reported by TASS.
“Currently, they say that Russia is threatening Ukraine. Complete nonsense. There is no threat,” said Patrushev, noting that Ukrainians, including official representatives, declare the absence of any threat.
“No, American officials claim that there is a threat, and they are ready to fight until the last Ukrainian, providing weapons,” added the Security Council secretary. According to him, the Americans do not care about the losses that each side may incur.
“We do not want war, and we do not need it at all. Those who impose it, especially the West, pursue some own selfish goals,” emphasized Patrushev.
