Russia Seeks Good Relations with the USA, Lavrov States

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Russia desires good, smooth, and respectfully equal relations with the United States, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“We want good, even mutually respectful, equal relations with the United States, as well as with any other country in the world. This position has also been reaffirmed by the President of Russia during his meeting with the U.S. President,” Lavrov said during his appearance on Channel One’s Sunday program.

He added that Russia has its own interests, just as the U.S. does. “We do not wish to remain in a situation where our security is violated every day,” emphasized the Russian Foreign Minister.
